Oxford United paid a moving tribute to Joey Beauchamp during the Emirates FA Cup tie against Sunderland at the Kassam Stadium on Sunday 15 February 2026.
The occasion brought Joey’s family, friends and supporters together to remember one of Oxford United’s most admired players and an important figure within the local community. A minute’s applause took place during the 11th minute, giving supporters from both clubs an opportunity to celebrate Joey’s life and the special contribution he made to Oxfordshire football.
The tribute also helped raise awareness of the Joey Beauchamp Foundation and our work to improve mental-health awareness, support and signposting across Oxfordshire.
We are extremely grateful to Oxford United, its supporters and everyone who participated in the tribute. Seeing so many people come together in Joey’s memory was incredibly moving for his family and everyone connected with the Foundation.
