The Joey Beauchamp Foundation confirms its charitable status

We’re proud to announce that the Joey Beauchamp Foundation is now officially registered as a UK charity.

Achieving registered charity status is not easy — it reflects months of dedication, preparation, and commitment from our trustees.

The process demands clear charitable purposes, strong governance, and evidence of real community impact. It takes time, collaboration, and care to build the structures and safeguards that ensure the Foundation can operate with transparency and integrity for years to come.

Therefore, becoming a registered UK charity is a landmark moment for the Joey Beauchamp Foundation.

It gives us the credibility, structure, and resources to grow our impact — enabling access to new funding, Gift Aid, and partnerships that will help us reach more people who need support. Most importantly, it ensures Joey’s legacy lives on through lasting community action, raising awareness of mental health and creating hope through football.

We’re growing — and we need your help.

As the Foundation takes its next steps as a registered charity, we’re looking for volunteers to join co-opted working groups and help deliver key projects, from our commemorative match and fundraising events to community engagement and awareness campaigns.

Whether you can give time, skills, or ideas, your contribution will make a real difference in continuing Joey’s legacy and supporting mental health through football.

Trustees quote:

“Becoming a registered charity marks an important milestone in Joey’s legacy — giving us the platform to reach more people, raise awareness, and support mental health in our community.”
